TripMeet Terms of Service

Draft for review — not final. This version describes our current services (browsing, booking and paying for experiences, hosting activities, reviews and payouts). It should be reviewed by qualified legal counsel before we begin public promotion. The English version is the governing version of these Terms; translations are provided for convenience. (Open items: see the checklist at the end.)

1. Introduction and Acceptance

Welcome to TripMeet. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the TripMeet website and related services (the "Services"), operated by Pegasus International Travel INC. ("TripMeet," "we," "us," or "our").

By creating an account or using the Services, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

2. Eligibility and Accounts

• You must be at least 16 years old (or the age of digital consent in your country) to use the Services.
• To use most features you must register with a valid email address and a password, or sign in with a supported third-party provider (Google, Apple, or Facebook). You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for activity under your account.
• You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
• Your username (shown as @username) is your public identifier. We may remove or reclaim usernames that are misleading, impersonate others, or violate these Terms.
• You may not maintain multiple accounts to evade enforcement of these Terms.

3. The Services

TripMeet helps people discover and book travel experiences and activities, and lets hosts create and run their own.

• Participants can browse experiences, book a specific occurrence (date and time), pay, and manage their orders.
• Hosts ("Hosts") can apply to host, create experiences and activities, manage bookings, and receive payouts.

We may add, change, or remove features over time; these Terms apply to all of them. Feature-specific rules (for example, cancellation and refund rules shown on a booking page) are presented to you before you complete a booking or payment and form part of these Terms.

4. Bookings, Payments, and Fees

• Booking unit: a booking is for one occurrence (a specific date and time). A multi-day activity is booked as separate occurrences.
• Prices are shown in your selected display currency; the settlement currency is shown to you before payment. Prices are set by Hosts; we may charge a platform fee (currently 30% of the booking amount), which is deducted from the Host's payout.
• Payment is processed by our payment providers (currently Stripe for card payments and Antom for other supported methods). By paying, you also agree to the provider's terms. We do not store your full card number.
• Host confirmation: some bookings require the Host to confirm within a stated window (currently 24 hours). If the Host does not confirm in time, the booking is automatically cancelled and refunded in full.
• Cancellation and refunds: cancellation windows, refund eligibility, and what happens if an activity does not run are set out in the applicable activity rules and shown at booking. Unless stated otherwise, no partial refunds are offered, and no-shows are not refunded.
• Taxes: you are responsible for any taxes applicable to you, except for taxes we are legally required to collect.

5. Hosting and Payouts

• Hosts must complete our application and be approved before they can publish activities. We may require additional information and may approve, decline, suspend, or revoke hosting at our discretion, including to protect participants.
• Hosts are solely responsible for the activities they offer, for their accuracy, and for complying with all laws applicable to them (including licensing, safety, and insurance).
• Payouts are made to the payout account the Host provides, after deducting our platform fee and any refunds. Payouts are subject to our review and applicable payment-provider requirements.
• Where a Host's eligibility lapses (for example, expired or incomplete information), we may limit new bookings or payouts, but settlement of already-completed and paid orders is not affected.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• violate any applicable law;
• post content that is unlawful, harassing, defamatory, hateful, sexually explicit, or infringes others' rights;
• impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation;
• access another user's account, or probe, scan, or test the security of the Services;
• scrape, crawl, or harvest data without our prior written consent;
• interfere with the Services (malware, denial-of-service, or other disruption);
• send unsolicited commercial messages through the Services.

We may remove content or suspend accounts that violate these rules. We use automated and human review to moderate content.

7. User Content and Intellectual Property

• You retain ownership of the content you post ("User Content"). You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, display, and use your User Content to operate, improve, and promote the Services, subject to your privacy settings and our Privacy Policy.
• Reviews you submit must reflect your genuine experience. We may remove reviews that are fake, abusive, or irrelevant.
• The Services themselves — software, design, trademarks, and text — are owned by TripMeet or its licensors. You may not copy, modify, or create derivative works except as expressly permitted. The TripMeet name and logo may not be used without our prior written permission.

8. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why, and your rights. By using the Services you agree to our data practices as described there.

9. Third-Party Links and Services

The Services may contain links to third-party sites or services (including payment and sign-in providers). We do not control and are not responsible for their content or practices; your use of them is subject to their own terms.

10. Termination

• You may close your account at any time through your account settings or by contacting us. Closing your account does not automatically delete content you have shared publicly, unless required by law or our Privacy Policy.
• We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, if required by law, or to protect the safety and integrity of the Services and their users.

11. Disclaimers

The Services are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that content or activities offered by Hosts are accurate, safe, or as described. Hosts, not TripMeet, are the providers of the activities.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, TripMeet and its affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the Services. Our total aggregate liability shall not exceed USD 100 or the total amount you have paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim, whichever is greater. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with a new effective date and, where appropriate, notified to you; where required, we will ask you to re-consent. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

14. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes will be resolved in the state and federal courts located in Travis County, Texas, and you consent to their jurisdiction. Nothing in this section limits rights that cannot be waived under applicable consumer law.
