Bean to Cup: Coffee Roastery Walk

Follow a single lot of coffee from green bean to your cup, across three small producers.

Coffee

1 / 8

Coffee tastes different at every stage of its journey, and this walk lets you follow one lot the whole way. You start with green beans, watch a roast develop, then taste the result brewed three ways.

Stops on the route

  • A roastery mid-batch, where you smell the cracks
  • A filter bar for a pour-over comparison
  • A final cupping table with the same beans at three roast levels

What you take home

A small bag of the very lot you tasted, plus a simple brewing card that works with equipment you already own.

For participants

Wear comfortable shoes and expect to be on your feet for most of the session. Caffeine adds up quickly, so a light breakfast beforehand is wise. Tell the host about any dietary restrictions if pastries are served, and arrive on time since the route starts moving promptly.
