Board Game Night at a Corner Cafe
A shelf of modern board games, a patient teacher, and a table that keeps playing after you leave.
Board GamesCoffee
Board games have moved a long way from the ones in your parents cupboard. This is a relaxed evening built around teaching a handful of short, clever games to people who have never played them.
How the evening runs
- A gentle opener that takes five minutes to learn
- Two or three mid-weight games in small groups
- A cooperative game to close, where the table wins or loses together
Good to know
Games and rules are provided, and a host moves between tables to teach and answer questions. Food and drinks are ordered from the cafe throughout.

For participants
No experience is required, and newcomers are seated together at a table that starts with the simplest games. Arrive at the opening time so groups can be balanced. Bring glasses if you need them for reading small text, and let the host know if you would rather play cooperatively.
