Craft Beer Taproom Tour

Go behind the taps and discover how a local craft beer scene really works. This small-group tasting walk visits a handful of independent taprooms, where your host introduces the styles, stories and brewing choices behind each pour.

  • Guided tasting: sample a curated line-up of pale ales, lagers, stouts and seasonal specials.
  • Local insight: hear how small breweries source ingredients, name their beers and build a following.
  • Easy pace: short walks between stops, with time to sit, chat and ask questions.

You will learn to taste like a brewer, looking at colour and clarity, smelling for hops and malt, and noticing how bitterness and sweetness balance. Your host explains what to look for in each glass and how to describe it in your own words.

Non-alcoholic options are available at every stop, and dietary needs can be flagged when you book. Groups stay small so everyone can hear, ask questions and join the conversation.

Come curious, leave with a favourite new pint and a shortlist of places to return to.

For participants

Book at least 24 hours ahead and arrive 10 minutes before the start time. Bring valid photo ID if you may be asked to prove your age. Wear comfortable shoes; expect short walks between stops. Flag allergies, dietary needs or mobility limits when booking so the route and pours can be adjusted.
