Golden Hour Photo Walk
The last hour of light, a small group, and a host who knows where it falls best.

1 / 4
The hour before sunset does more for a photograph than any piece of equipment. This walk puts you in the right places at the right minutes, with someone who has shot them many times.
What we cover
- Reading the light and choosing what to expose for
- Working with backlight instead of avoiding it
- Composing with shadows and long reflections
- Handling the last few minutes, when the light changes fastest
Good to know
Any camera is welcome, including a phone. Group size stays small so everyone gets room to shoot and time to ask questions.

For participants
Bring any camera you have, including a phone, and a fully charged battery. This is a walking session on uneven ground, so wear comfortable shoes. Arrive fifteen minutes early to hear the plan, and expect to be out until just after the sun goes down.
