Micro-Roastery Cupping Session
Step behind the counter of a working micro-roastery and taste coffee the way professionals do. This guided cupping session is led by the roaster who sources, samples, and dials in every batch. You'll learn why a single origin can taste like stone fruit one week and cocoa the next, and how roast profiles change everything in the cup.
The session begins with a short walkthrough of the roasting space, then moves to a cupping table set with freshly ground samples. Using standard cupping methods, you'll evaluate aroma, acidity, body, sweetness, and aftertaste. The host will guide you through slurping, scoring, and describing what you taste without any jargon overload.
Expect to compare several lots side by side, including a few experimental roasts that aren't on the menu yet. You'll also get practical tips for brewing at home, from water temperature to grind size. Whether you're a curious beginner or a seasoned coffee nerd, the format is relaxed, hands-on, and built for conversation.
What's included:
- Guided tasting of multiple single-origin and blend samples
- Roaster-led discussion of sourcing, roasting, and flavor
- Take-home tasting notes and a small bag of freshly roasted beans
Note: The session runs in a working production space, so dress comfortably and be ready for strong coffee aromas.
