Paddle and Pause: Calm Water Kayaking

Flat water, a slow paddle, and the quiet that only happens on the water.

Adventure

1 / 4

Flat water kayaking is less about effort and more about attention. The boat moves when you stop paddling, and that is the point: you get to sit still somewhere the roads do not reach.

How the paddle goes

  • A shore briefing and a few minutes finding your balance
  • A slow route along the sheltered water
  • A stop to drift, rest, and look around
  • A gentle return against the light

Good to know

All equipment is provided and no previous experience is needed. The route stays on sheltered water, and the guide cancels if the wind picks up beyond a gentle breeze.

For participants

You should be comfortable in water and able to swim a short distance. Wear clothes that can get wet and shoes that stay on your feet. Sun protection matters more than you expect on the water. Tell the guide about any shoulder injury before you launch.
