Sommelier-Led Blind Tasting Night

Pour, swirl, sniff, sip — and guess. A working sommelier leads your table through a flight of wines served blind, so every conclusion comes from your own senses instead of a label, a price tag or a famous name.

Across roughly two hours you taste six contrasting pours side by side and pick up a simple, repeatable framework for describing what you smell and taste. Expect lively debate, a few surprises and at least one bottle that overturns what you thought you liked.

  • Blind flight: six wines, poured in matched glasses, revealed one by one.
  • Tasting skills: aroma, acidity, tannin, body and finish, explained without jargon.
  • Guided guessing: compare notes with your table before the sommelier confirms each answer.
  • Take-home notes: a printed flavor map and a short list of bottles worth seeking out.

No prior knowledge needed — curiosity is the only prerequisite. Small groups keep the conversation easy, and non-alcoholic alternatives are available on request.

For participants

Book at least 48 hours ahead; seats are limited and non-alcoholic or dietary requests need advance notice. Arrive 10 minutes before the start — latecomers join the current pour and cannot restart the flight. Bring a valid photo ID and a refillable water bottle; skip strong perfume or aftershave so aromas stay clear. Flag allergies, dietary needs or mobility requirements when booking so step-free access and food pairings can be arranged.
