Sunday Lunch in a Neighborhood Home
Step off the usual trail and into a real dining room, where the menu follows the season and the conversation moves as slowly as the coffee. This is a shared Sunday lunch hosted by a local cook in their own neighborhood home.
Expect a generous table rather than restaurant service:
- A home-cooked spread of starter, main and dessert built on family recipes.
- Small groups only, so everyone gets a seat and a voice.
- Easy stories about daily life, local habits and the dishes in front of you.
You arrive as a guest, not a customer. Come curious, ask questions, help carry a plate if you feel like it, and leave with a fuller stomach and a few new friends.
Lunch usually runs about three hours, from late morning into the afternoon. Mention allergies or dietary preferences when you book and your host will adapt the menu wherever they can.
Seats are limited at every table, so reserve early to save your place.

For participants
Book at least 48 hours ahead so your host can shop and cook for the right number of seats. Arrive within ten minutes of the agreed time; late arrivals hold up the shared table for everyone. Bring your appetite, plus any drinks or regional specialties you would like to share. Message your host in advance about allergies, dietary needs or mobility requirements so the menu and seating can adapt.
