Urban Winery Tasting Flight

Step off the street and into a working winery, where tanks, barrels and bottling lines share space with the tasting bar. This guided flight introduces you to small-batch wines made in the city rather than the countryside, poured by the people who pressed the grapes.

Your host walks you through four to six pours, usually a sparkling or white to open, a pair of reds, and something unexpected from the barrel room. Along the way you will cover:

  • How to swirl, sniff and taste with a simple vocabulary
  • What labels and regional styles actually tell you
  • Why urban wineries buy fruit from growers and ferment on-site
  • Food pairings you can recreate at home

Groups stay small so questions get answered, and the pace stays relaxed — expect roughly 90 minutes, with time to linger afterwards. No prior tasting experience needed. Whether you come solo, as a couple or with colleagues, you will leave with a few new favourites and a sharper palate.

For participants

Book at least 48 hours ahead; later bookings depend on remaining seats. Arrive on time — flights are poured together, so latecomers may miss a pour. Bring photo ID and a light layer; tasting areas can be cool and standing-heavy. Share dietary, allergy or mobility needs at booking so the host can adjust.
