Getting started
Complete your profile
Your profile is what hosts and other participants see. Filling it in is optional, but a photo and a short introduction make people more likely to greet you.
What you can edit
| Field | Notes |
|---|---|
| Photo | Cropped square; public |
| Nickname | Public; can be changed later |
| @username | Public and unique — it is part of your profile address, so think before changing it |
| Introduction | A few lines about you; public |
| Gender | Optional; hidden by default |
| Date of birth | Optional; age and star sign are hidden by default |
Steps
- Open your profile page from the avatar menu.
- Choose the field you want to change and edit it.
- Save. Most changes appear immediately.
What is public by default
- Always public: photo, nickname, @username, introduction.
- Hidden until you open it: gender, age and star sign, your participation history, your followers and following lists. Each has its own switch in the privacy settings.
Common questions
My change disappeared. Text and images you post are checked automatically. Clear violations are rejected straight away; borderline content can be reviewed afterwards and, if rejected, reverted to the previous value — you receive an email when that happens.
Can two people have the same nickname? Nicknames are not unique, but @usernames are.
Do I have to fill everything in? No. Gender and date of birth can stay empty.
