Account and security
Change your details or password
Most of your profile is editable at any time. Two things need extra care: your @username and your email address.
What you can change
| Item | Notes |
|---|---|
| Photo, nickname, introduction | Immediate; passing an automatic content check |
| @username | Unique. Once changed, the old profile link stops working. |
| Gender, date of birth | Optional; visibility is controlled separately |
| Password | Set or change from the security section |
| Email address | Requires confirming the new address before it takes effect |
Changing your email
- Enter the new address.
- Confirm it from the link or code sent to that address.
- Until you confirm, your old address stays active.
Changing your password
If you signed up with an email code and never set a password, set one first — it gives you a second way to sign in.
Common questions
Will changing my email sign me out? No, but the new address must be confirmed before it can be used to sign in.
Can I remove my password? There is always at least one working way to sign in; if you have a social login linked, you can rely on it.
My profile change was reverted. See Complete your profile — some content is checked after publication.
