Hosting
Before you host
Hosting means you design an activity, set the dates and price, and receive participants. A few things are worth knowing before you create your first one.
How publishing works
- You build an activity from an experience already published in your city (for example "Guided city hike"). The experience supplies the structure; your activity fills in the details.
- There is one action: list it. Selecting "List" submits the activity for review — an automatic content check followed by a human review. If it passes, it goes live automatically.
- If it is rejected, you see the reason and can edit and submit again.
- While an activity is live, editing its content takes it offline and sends it back for review.
Bookings and confirmation
| Setting | What it means |
|---|---|
| Automatic confirmation | Bookings are confirmed as soon as the participant pays. |
| Manual confirmation | You have 24 hours to accept or reject each booking. If you do not respond in time it is rejected and the participant is refunded. |
Money
- Participants pay the full price. Platform commission is deducted when the booking is settled, not when it is paid.
- The commission rate is a fixed percentage set by TripMeet; the current rate is shown on the payouts page after you sign in.
- Payouts are made by bank transfer in batches, not per booking. A payout account has to be added and approved first.
Time model
An activity is made of bookable sessions — one date (and one time slot) each. A three-day trip is arranged as three sessions, and each participant books one.
